Hi,

I've got a 2012 Super Tenere. I've only put 260Km on it in the last 3 years. Is there an easy way to drain the gas out without removing the tank?

Thanks

I use a 1/4" polyethylene hose about 6' long - it's translucent and the extended length and small diameter let you see the gas coming before it hits your mouth when you start the siphon. It took about 15-20 minutes to drain a full 5 gallon tank on my BMW last week, but it was no muss and no fuss overall, and I had other stuff to do while I waited.

If you don’t have a clear hose. Us old siphoners put a rag over the gas tank filler and blow on the hose. It’ll shoot out

I would just take it for a nice ride and use up the gasoline that’s already in the tank then refill with fresh gasoline.

but if you want to remove some gasoline these things work pretty good

the siphon is the best idea.. can also pick up a 'jiggler' type if you are prone to getting gas in your mouth when sucking the fuel the old way.

when I siphon, I try to 'vaccum' the bottom of my tank as its draining even though it probably doesn't account to much of an improvement

I bought one of these to drain my cr500 after a ride. Works good. Gas with stabil in it will eventually stain a porous plastic bike tank from the inside
