does anyone have experience with melting things with an aftermarket exhaust?

i’m looking at buying a full arrow exhaust from recommendations I’ve read on this forum but i’m also considering other options for the can. The way that some of the cheaper cans vent out the back makes me think it might melt my turn signal and rear fender. are there any cans to definitely stay away from due to melting the plastics at the rear of the bike? I’m looking for experiences over opinions.

Been running the yoshimura rs4 for 12k miles and no heat issues at all. Sounds amazing, bike runs perfect with no tune, and its easily 6-7lbs lighter than stock.

Not as mean/loud as arrow though.

Yes you want to get an exhaust that points down a bit. I got sick of broken and melted turn signals years ago on my dual sport bikes. The ones that point straight will melt anything in its path mounted on the bike.

I too have the RS4 on my Super Tenere. Cool thing I like is it's the only legal approved exhaust made for our bikes. I would much rather have the Arrow full system but don't want to deal with getting tickets.

The Delkevic 14” can on my Ténéré has not melted anything. It’s critical to use the provided hanger bracket so it mounts a bit lower than the OEM. At first the esthetic of lower angle bugged me, but now I like it. I’ve probably put 20-30K miles on mine since mounting.

The gen 2 led signals are quite a bit smaller than the bulbous gen 1 incandescent ones.

I melted a bit of my fender with my delkevic stubby, but really it was my own fault for not paying attention to the install angle.

I picked up a used Akropovic for good money (crazy price new)

Just under 40k miles now with no problems.

I also believe that they are legal in the UK as it came with an EC Type Approval Certificate

Anyone having experience with other exhausts that DID NOT melt the mudguard/indicators?
Looking at MIVV and Storm exhausts...
