I should add that giving the tube a good "shake 'n bake" reatment with some baby powder works wonders. Also, partially inflating the tube before levering the tires onto the rim helps prevent pinches.
Yep, a little talc on the tube before you roll it up and put it in storage on the bike is a good idea, as it the partial inflation thing. On my bicycle I usually wrap the spare tube in a layer of cardboard, just to help protect if from being punctured by anything I might be jamming into my seat bag. Depending on where on the motorcycle you'd be storing the tube. protecting it from being punctured by other nearby stuff is a good precaution.

I’ve decided on carrying a plug kit and compressor as primary puncture repair (under seat and in toolbox) but I also have tyre levers hose clamped to the frame, and a puncture repair kit with valve tool and spare stems. If I’m going somewhere remote I will also pack spare tubes, just in case.

I did my first tyre change at home with (cheap knockoff copies of the motion pro) bead breakers and a 16” tyre iron, I think I should be able to manage it in a pinch with the 10” irons I have on the bike, but hopefully won’t need to.

If it's any consolation, I ran a totally flat rear K-60 for about 40 miles at around 80mph without even knowing it. The sidewalls on the K60 are extremely stiff. I think if you got a flat with THAT tire, you could safely ride it to where it could be repaired, if a sticky string doesn't work.
Thanks that's what I heard too.
