I saw this Tenere at the Oak Tree Inn in Alpine TX around 7am this morning, upon closer inspection I found that it was probably a raven Tenere and not a desert camo. Not real sure about this because I didn't have a putty knife handy! I hope you got out of Alpine before someone from the National Park Service saw the bike, it's against the law to remove things from the Park. Someone needs to fess up and let me know who had such a good time on a very dirty Tenere.

The Big Bend Texas Tenere Gathering was this weekend…Combo, Tabasco and those guys. ::26::

Alpine looks inside of a hundred miles from there. Reports are gonna start trickling in. Bet it was one of those guys.

Welcome on, RC. It wasn't me, although if it weren't for the foot of snow in my yard and the fact that my Tenere is 3000 km away, it could have been. Welcome to the Forum. Have you Tenere'd yet ??? R ::022:: ::004::

I rode my Wing down with my friend on his K16. I have a Tenere that I haven't got set up for me yet. We had a great weekend and saw the camo Tenere when we stopped for breakfast this morning, it was completely coated in Big Bend or some other local dirt. I capped my trip home to Lubbock by hitting a turkey just north of Fort Davis on Hwy 118, took off my right mirror but the Clearwater Krista survived and so did I. I can tell you that hitting a turkey while running 72 mph will give you a jolt! I have enjoyed the forum and learned a lot, haven't posted because really don't have anything that is Tenere related to contribute. Have McCruise installed, Wasp windshield bracket and Yamaha heated grip controller bracket are coming, Caribou 34L top case with 40L panniers are here, going to send the seat to Tom Simmons (he made a great seat for the Wing), the Yamaha heated grips were back ordered, etc. I'm 73 and have toured on the Wing about 65,000 miles in the last 17 months. I ride alone 95% of the time and if the Wing takes a nap I can't lift it by myself and I have passed many inviting dirt roads, hope the Tenere opens doors that were closed for me on the Wing. I'll put my age in perspective, last Yamaha dirt capable bike I owned was a DT250!

welcome rainbow chaser. After that many miles in past 17 months, I am glad you took some time out to stop by here and say hello. Enjoy the dirt roads and the Tenere.
