Got cut off in traffic the other day and when I went to use my Denali SoundBomb to let him know that I wasn't happy (the very reason I bought the thing)....NOTHING, NADDAH, ZIP!!!

OK, where should I start?

Thanks!

If you don't have a digital multimeter, go get one. They are cheap and great for troubleshooting. Put the leads on the wires on the horn and press the button and see if there is voltage. If so, the horn is faulty. If not, check the fuses and connections.

What amp fuse did you use? I found with these air horns, Stebel, Wolo, Sound Bomb, that anything less than 20A will blow.

Let's say you got all the fuse, connectors, wiring, etc tried out and it still fails, do apply some WD40 into the horn and let soak a while. Then connect to a power source and try to free up the sticking by applying some electric juice.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I'll definitely get me a digital multi-meter and get to tracking down my Denali's issue. BTW...(embarrassing, I know...) ::) where do I locate the horn's fuse?

Thanks again...

It depends on how it was wired in. If it was done correctly with a relay, the fuse should be in the hot line coming from the battery, preferably before the relay. If it was wired directly to the OEM horn wires, a fuse in the fuse block under the right cover could have blown.

You cant fit these without a Relay, the original horn has a relay, but not rated high enough amps, so use a seperate fused relay, and use the existing horn wires to pull in the coil on the relay, and as mentioned above the fuse needs to be above 20 amp.....I use a 30 amp and never had an issue!

Just got the sound bomb, where is the horn relay on 2014 S10 for installation - thanks, Edbo.
There’s no relay on the Ténéré, you have to add one. Easiest way is to just connect the OEM horn wires directly to the relay’s coil. Run a new (fused) wire from the battery through the relay to the horn.
