Demo ride schedule?

Does anybody know if there is a published schedule for the Yamaha demo truck? I can't seem to find one. I didn't see one published for the bike that made the "look don't touch" rounds last year either. If they haven't, it would make sense for Yamaha to do so, IMO.

Fred, could there be another list. This one does not show the truck being at my dealer on April 1&2. I have the flier for this stop.

Wow some of these locations aren't too far away from my neck of the woods. It may time for a road trip and demo ride, YES!!!

Thanks Fred for posting

btw, I just noticed the schedule has them in Charlotte, NC and Roanoke, VA at the same time. Could there be two trucks on the east coast so close together that doesn't make much sense. I need to make some calls.

Sadly there isn't much that is near the greater Philadelphia area. Perhaps we're too urbanized for the ST? :(

Looks like one of them is listed as Dealer Demo and the other is Display/Demo.

Just got off the phone with Team Charlotte and they called the Yamaha rep while I waited. The rep said the bike will be at both places awesome. That is a difference of a 4 hour round trip versus a 8 hour one for me, Roanoke it is. Now I have to drop one of my MSF classes that weekend but the S10 is worth it.

btw I asked the saleman if they had heard anything from Yamaha Japan about status of bikes and he said no but they did here from Honda that one of their factories took a hit. This dealer is pretty big apparently he carries all Japanese brands has 800-900 bikes on the floor 40,000 sq ft showroom.

Fred is there a major difference other then one is a dealer and one is at a Civic Center? I should be able to ride it since it says demo correct?

I don't know, Vince, but would guess the one that is the regular display/demo would have more models. Any that say demo should have demo rides. There some that only say display and there won't be rides there.

Thanks man, if you have a Flyers flag as well take that too. ;)

I see Yamaha's going to be at the Carlisle bike fest this year, maybe I'll have the opportunity to hit that up. It'll probably be a zoo though.

I can imagine Carlisle being pretty crazy never been there but pics of the place show it is huge. Is Johnstown, PA a haul for you?

Close to 5 hours.

I'm holding out hope they'll be hitting up local dealers with demos. It seems the events listed on the Yamaha page are big events, at least in PA they are.

Got all excited when I saw that Laguna Seca (Monterey) is gonna have one on a weekend I'm not working. That quickly ended when I saw it said "Display" and not Display / Demo". :'(

Vince and Jonny...see y'all in Roanoke!!!! ;D

I'm coming in from the opposite direction. Perhaps we could meet up somewhere and invade the Civic Center.

Venture, Looks like your best bet is Pete's cycles in MD. It's 3 hours from me, probably about the same for you.

Anyone that's close to the Roanoke, VA Civic Center the April show dates are 15-17 and the hours are, Friday - 3pm-9pm Saturday - 10am-8pm Sunday - 10am-5pm. $15.00 buys you a pass for all three days downside is it's $15.00 for one day as well. This is a demo and display.

I have never had much luck getting demo rides at large events. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to some event specifically in hopes of demo rides, and either it's a mob scene and I failed to get there early enough to queue for a spot, or if it's not a mob scene, the OEM in question has decided not to bring the bikes I am interested in.

Maybe I will ride down to the dealer demo in WV in June. I don't think I have anything else planned for that weekend, and it's always fun to go to WV.
