Just a question, as I have no 1st hand knowledge, does the manufacturer offer a turned down tip? I think a call to the manufacturer could answer the question. If the maker can not supply the turn down I would think any good muffler-tailpipe shop could fab one quickly.

Good Luck
You would have to punch out the end cap rivets, as it is one piece.

Here is the best picture I can find of what it is supposed to look like. This is photoshopped, since it is the exact same bike, coloring, shadowing and position in every photo.

Spinalator, in the photo it appears that the exhaust blast will be diverted, do you think it will be enough? If so maybe the company can send you new pop rivets and an end cap, just a thought.

I am following this very close because i wanted to use Delkevic exhaust on my Tenere.

Good Luck

Well I gave up on the one supplied, and made a longer hanger to lower the can. I loosened off all the clamps and retightened, and now have it in a good position. I could have gone another 1/2 " lower, but I think it is good enough. The bag is not touching, heat shield has about 1/4" of space, and I am now well below the signal light. I did remove the reflector. It is likely other racks would be fine, the OEM are tight to the bike, which is why I like them.

EDIT: The owner of the Delkovic USA returned my emails, he was away Friday, and does not answer over the weekends. He was helpful and offered to swap out if I wanted.

Just installed 14"/350mm oval. Additionally, here is what I did:
- Cut about an inch off the link pipe. It brought the can slightly forward and lower, minimizing the chance of cooking the blinker.
- Carved out (with Dremel) a good portion of the plastic heat shield, so it just covers the slip-on linkage and protects the passenger leg/foot. IMO it also made the bike look leaner and lighter.
- After removing the baffle I put a dummy screw with a split washer into the baffle screw hole. It changes the sound a bit and removes that annoying whistling on certain revs.
I'm absolutely happy with the results - both look and sound, although haven't notice any performance changes.

How did you order this in 14" with the correct link pipe? All I see on the site is the 18" which I don't want.
Just call them and ask. The phone is on their web site. You need a 14" oval can and the link kit for Super Tenere. They had no problem with the custom order, it cost roughly $200 shipped to San Francisco. They did mentioned though, they had customers complaining abut melted blinker, so they removed it from their web site and they "warned" me about it.

First 300 miles in SFBA traffic with new 14" oval and the cut-back link pipe. So far so good! I took the baffle out and it sounds really like a large V-twin. Nice growl all around and some prominent farting on the throttle roll-off. No issues with resonance, stalls, headache etc. No noticeable performance changes. Left blinker and nearby light reflector still intact. I checked them periodically - they are not even getting warm. So, the conclusion - $200 well spent and the 14" is the way to go.

Why not? All of those exhausts fit under the OEM heat shield, so I'm having trouble picturing how it would interfere with the bags. I'm asking because I'm considering the bags, adn I'm about to pull the trigger on that very exhaust.

Also, for anyone curious, I've had Delkevic cans on two other bikes, and they make an excellent product for short money. Not too loud either; definitely quieter, for example, than the Two Bros exhausts.
Sorry just saw this. Its been awhile since I had the tri oval on. Mine would fit under the oem heat shield just fine, but the way the pipe extends out, the outer edge was in the way of bag.Tried rotating the pipe no luck
either..Hope this helps

Just installed the stubby oval. Can confirm this muffler fits well with the stock head shield as well as with GIVI side-bag mounts.

Did anyone experience a faint leak around the connection between the can and pipe? I can get the pipe to the header connected without any leaks as the OEM Yamaha gasket was easily reused, but there is no gasket between the can and pipe. Even with the entire sealant tube used there is a really light leak at idle but doesn't seem to leak at throttle. What am I doing wrong, or should it just be tighter onto the pipe?

If there's a leak there, in my case at least, I haven't noticed it with respect to noise or any discoloration.

Just ordered the 14” stubby set up. Can’t wait to have some sound out of this bike. All I can hear is engine noise right now and it doesn’t sound happy. Lol So I look forward to listening to a nice exhaust note . I have used Delkevic exhaust on my last two motorcycles and what an awesome slip on for the money.

Ok now I have ridden the bike back and forth to work a few days I really love the sound of this exhaust. I don’t have the DB killer installed and it’s really not that loud. It does make the bike sound bad ass.

I can confirm that the stubby setup is the way to go. If you install it right there's no risk to reflectors or turn signals melting that ive been able to find yet.
