Dealor wants deposite for recal parts

update

In the end Alcoa Good Times came though. They ordered the part, and did not require me to leave the bike or pay for the part. I made an appointment and they completed job in one hour while I waited. I didn't ask for an explanation, nor was I offered one, as to why I was initially told that I would have to leave the bike before they would order the part. All's well that ends well.

In the case of a drive shaft I'd be ok with leaving the bike. But I get your point

I guess it's a hit and miss with dealers, but you know it shouldn't be that way..
