Ordered a set. Likewise, don't need them yet but to good to pass up. Shipping is free if you can wait 10 or so days for delivery. I looked at images of the front tire and when enlarged you can see "Radial" on the side of the tire.

UPDATE: Actually ordered these tires on Saturday and they were delivered this morning (Tuesday). Couldn't believe they were already here. Front tire is a Radial as zphenyl had confirmed.

Has anybody used them? If so, how are they? Why are they so cheap?
the Trailsmart reviews I remember seeing weren’t great but it’s a decent tire. I suspect the greatly reduced price is because Dunlop has replaced it with a new model that will probably make Trailsmart sales go way down. The new model is Trailmax Mission and is pretty expensive And probably a lot more profitable.

Makes sense. The 'smart looks like a 95/5 tire; damn near a street tire. The Mission definitely looks more off-road worthy, but still nothing I'd use way off road. . . . maybe 80/20?

Please see video below for why so cheap.

My tires arrived today with a date code 2017 (not bad considering I ordered another tire from different website late last year and it was dated 2015 and considered new stock). A member on another forum ordered two sets and they were both dated 2018.

I had a set on my 2013 Tenere and I liked them but didn’t do much off road with them. Hard packed dirt roads was about it. Handled well in rain. If I remember right I had little over 10k on the rear before changing. Front was still ok. Chaparral has these listed as close out, probably why cheap. The tires I got are are dated 2617. Almost 3 yrs old.

Even at 3 years old that is a smoking deal!! I have a paddle tire that is almost 20 years old that I use as needed.

My pair arrived today.......both are tubeless radials manufactured the 27th week of 2017.
I just mounted mine, and replaced my rear brake rotor and rear pads.

Wow - stiff sidewall. Mine were made in France. Still have that new tire smell. Thanks to Ballistic Chris who pointed me in the right direction.

we'll see how they work. yee haw!
