I’ve checked the forum and couldn’t find an answer so I’m asking here…

is it possible to upgrade the dash lights to a different colour or to a very bright white LED? I’m finding the dash hard to read when overcast, even though I have the contrast full up. If anyone has done this or could direct me to a link, I would appreciate it very much!

Thanks!

I have used different color LEDs in my old FZ1 instrument cluster and it appears this can possibly be done, but the Bluegauges website doesn't list the Super Tenere. It does list the FJR which also uses a LCD dash, but it says the dash has to be sent in as it's not DIY job. I can't find any videos of what the back of the dash looks like or how it's backlit.
I don't have a problem with the ST dash at nite. My FZ1 was poorly backlit and the LEDs greatly improved it. I also added them for all the other indicators (signals, hi beams, neutral, etc). I have wondered why there wasn't a function to adjust the brightness on the dash.

Yes, they also don’t list pricing. I’ve asked him for that and also since they’re just across the border from me, if I could ride there and wait for them to do it. After the borders Open, and the virus have passed of course. I looked at the DIY tab that they provided, there’s a lot of desoldering and resoldering, and I don’t want to touch that. If it was just to pull a bulb and replace, I’m good.

I will post their feedback.

Yes, just got an answer from them. I guess he was researching it extensively. Anyway here it is...

That is one i have never seen before so if it can be done, the price would be $50
