Just took delivery on a new '18 and it looks like that bar would be a good choice for the gps, especially given the accy plug right next to it.
The mount I have is a Ram and considerably too big. Has anyone McGivered a solution?
Thanks.

I made my own GPS support with some aluminum flat bar and some mounting brackets I found on line. I used the Garmin hard mount for my 650 Montana.
If your interested in making something like this I can send you a little more detail.
I also added the windshield supports by Propsoto and the dash infill by Ramsebella. Both are inmates on this forum.

Yeah, it's the visual remote for my Valentine 1 radar detector. The actual detector is mounted above the right hand grip so it's antennas can "see" both ahead of me and behind. Great detector

Congrats on the new scoot!

Ram ball mounts fit fine on that bar, the standard Ram ball mounts on bars .5-1.5 inches: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012TWRAO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I like this torque mount a lot better. Cleaner looking and more compact.

Seconded!
