What is everyone getting for a coolant temperature in the dead of summer vs winter? Normally I average 175/180 in the summer at highway speeds.
I left work this morning at 22 degrees rode 25 miles at highway speeds and never got above 150 degrees.
Does a motorcycle cooling system not work like a car/truck? They seem to operate closer to the 200 degree range.
Any thoughts or comments are welcome.

My average is typically about 175º - 210º pending weather. In slow traffic it will get hot enough to cycle the fan (on around 219º off 212º. I don't have winter here ;)

The bike does have a thermostat (as a car would) that should not open until 156º-163º. It sounds to me like you're running at the lower end of that range so don't have a problem. That's lower than a typical car's thermostat (common there is 195º). You may notice reduced fuel economy at the lower end of the spectrum. If you do you can experiment with partial radiator airflow blocks until you find something that works of you. I'm sure plenty of others can chime in with more complete information.

Mine runs about the same. I’m guessing the engine hanging out in the breeze adds some cooling beyond the thermostat range.

Sounds about the same as both my previous 2013 and my 2018, at first I kinda worried about it but these Tenere’s seem to be pretty much bulletproof so I have pretty much quit worrying about it, I’m just thankful not to have to spend a lot of time riding in real hot weather.
