I replace my coolant and brake fluid every 2 years on my S10. The only exception is my dirt bike where I use Evans Waterless coolant. And boy those Samco hoses are really really nice!! If you get the hoses you might want to also consider the Samco hose clamps as well. Their products are some of the best in the industry.

My 2018 Tenere antifreeze will most likely get changed at valve check time which should be next year when I should hit 26,000 miles, that’s the same thing I did with my previous 2013 Tenere . Why are you wanting to change coolant hoses so soon ?

I have done this on the dirt bikes too, they have a much smaller cooling system under much more stress. But the Evans can also give you higher peak temps because it doesn't boil.

The tenere even at 115F in traffic never overheated, just cycles the fan on and off.

I changed the coolant when I got my 2014 at 12k miles. Very simple to do on this bike and I went back with yamacool.
can you remember how much is needed for a coolant change, was going with waterless but i,ll change hoses and use yamcool

I agree with most others, I change the coolant and all dot 4 fluids every 2 years.

I used Peak Long Life, Pre-diluted, Universal coolant and it takes about two quarts. I also use Peak Dot 4 in the clutch and brake lines. Peak products work great, are inexpensive and easy to find. Never any problems with Peak quality or value.

Prestone is another easy to find, high value brand that I have used for years in motorcycle applications. IMO, there is no reason to pay more for OEM fluids.

Yep that's the same stuff just different packaging for the UK. As a little tip I use a turkey baster with hose or small hand siphon pump to get the old coolant out of the overflow bottle. It is a pain in the butt to remove the bottle to empty

I also put in a 1/2 bottle of Water Wetter in the system. The directions say you only need a a few capfuls. But this stuff really works to keep all the rubber seals in cooling system conditioned and prevent corrosion.

I thought about using it in the Tenere. Decided it was not really necessary for the type of riding I do. It still will not hurt a thing if you decide to go with it. Just make sure you get all the old coolant out. Since you are removing the hoses it should dry out really good. You can also prep fluid do make sure the old coolant is really flushed out.

As stated you will need about 2 bottles. I used 2 quarts and a half bottle of Water Wetter. It took a few rides to "burb" the system and use up the coolant. I just added to the coolant overflow when it was cold.

Rob, please get some pictures of those hoses once they are on your bike.
