Saw 39F this morning on my commute. The Gerbings was running about 75% and the heated grips on medium, so I was pretty comfy.

Only 45F and rain this morning for me, but the 20mph gusts on the bridge were pushing my topbox just enough to pucker up a bit.

35 This morning. But it's only 2 miles, it really doesn't matter much. ;)
Agreed, time of exposure is a major factor. Plenty of time to get too chilled on my 46 mile one-way commute without some heated gear.

Especially the case for the two cruisers with no windshield(s). The days of having to ride in that kind of weather are, thankfully, long gone.
You are smart moving where it is warm! My wife is from Chile in South America. This is one of my primary reasons for buying the Tenere. A quality machine to actually get me down there and an awesome adventure at that!

No riding lately but I have ridden 100 miles one way for breakfast twice when it was -6 Fahrenheit, but that was on the Goldwing which has Much better wind protection than a Tenere . Both times there were two other Goldwing riders that showed up on their bikes.

My commute was only 3.3 miles each way. I pretty much rode if it was dry even if below zero. 34 years same commute. Only good part of the day for me all those years

Glad youre out there. Lot cooler to be a unfair weather guy. Been riding rain or shine, cold or hot, sometimes snow for a commute for a long time. Got a Jeep and 3 bikes. LOL and the Jeep runs for the trails.

My commute was particularly strenuous this morning. The cat woke me up at 4:30 and the website needed to be updated. Almost tripped on the cat in the hall between the bedroom and office. Looked out the window at the snow and listened to traffic reports on the news radio station.

Being sorta retired and not driving into DC every day rocks.
