Colder days ahead, rode the wing about 200 miles today mostly a little below freezing, supposed to get up to 50 degrees here tomorrow.

Just a quick note and Photo on a 36 degree night here in Connecticut. This is my coldest to date...

From what I remember after living there, 36 for a November night in CT isn't all that bad. ::025::

Welcome to life with a Tenere...the bike you never need to winterize. If you have the right gear the bike is happy to go much, much colder. Embrace year round riding.

The two things that stop me commuting in the winter are road salt/brine and ice on the roads. Been down to 15F and the bike didn't care other than a slightly slower spin on the starter at first.

If the roads are dry that stuff they put on the roads to melt snow and ice doesn’t seem to have much effect on vehicles. 15 degrees is pretty cold for riding a Tenere, rode mine 50 miles twice last winter a little below freezing and not wearing any heated gear, after that I decided to leave it home and take the wing instead.

I've noticed that when it's cold/cool out, the "choke" stays on quite a while. Even when the coolant has reached normal temp; like the air temp controls the "choke".
