Does anyone know what this little pin does in the clutch switch? It popped out today, but nothing seemed different. It is about 1 1/2" long. I pushed it back in when I got home. It looks like there may be a tab missing that holds it in. Just put some tape around it for now.

I just looked it up on the fiche and it's not a part that listed separately, it's part of the switch and not replaceable on its own.

No idea what it does, however it's fairly cheap to replace the whole switch, about $50 (rough conversion from UK £)

It looks like the missing tab may be part of the wiring harness though. Unless some functionality is impacted, I'll put a dab of silicone chaulk to keep it in.

My bike is a gen one, so may differ from yours.

On my bike there's a black plunger switch there, that's operated by a tab that's part of the clutch lever. I presume the side stand cut out circuit.

Is it the clutch interlock switch? This switch signals that the clutch is pulled in. For example, you should be able to start the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in.
