Bullett and I pulled in an hour ago. After weeks of cold wet weather, we arrived home to triple digits. A brilliant time in Jasper in between, oh, and Liard.

Good to hear you are home safe and dry. Did you camp at the Liard Hot Springs?

Yes, with Tiger_One. We were across the street in the commercial campground as the Provincial Park campground was full. We walked in to the springs. Bison were roaming in our campground and we saw a bear just a couple of miles away. The night before folk reported a bull moose at the springs.

The springs are very nice, and I would love to watch the northern lights from there one winter's day. That whole Muncho Lake area is just amazing.

Hope you and your bike are feeling better Tim.

Thanks for asking. I am feeling better though not 100%. I will ride for the first time when the Tenere goes in the shop on Wednesday. Waited two+ weeks for parts.

Along with many other places I was really looking forward to Liard Hot Springs, Jasper, and Banff. Will settle for trips covering OR, WA, and ID, then maybe MT, WY, CO, and UT. Still miss not going to Whithorse and meeting everyone that made the trip.

Hipshot made it back home Monday afternoon. Didn't have to hurry so I took the long route and dropped into Washington and the North Cascades Hwy.
Thanks to everyone that made it such a great gathering. I made new friends and appreciate the work and expense that made the rally a grand event.

Okay, Tiger_one reporting, HOME! Wonderful trip. Thanks again Rem and Troll and all who made this a go. 10,000+ miles for me, that is over 12,800 on the Anakee II front, it is toast. Now for a nap.

Ryan and I pulled into Seattle on Sunday evening. Got a good nights rest and I abandoned him at Touratech on Monday morning. I had to go to work. He was planning on riding to Eugene. I wonder how much money he spent. :)

Thanks again. It was great meeting everyone.

At Deadhorse/Purdhoe Bay tonight and will start my trip home tomorrow. Almost 4900 miles to date and will tally up another 3500-4000 on the return trip.

Life is good!

Jenny and I got home about 8:30 p.m. yesterday after Grande Prairie - Jasper - Rocky Mountain House. I have to say the scenery on that route is hard to beat. My stock Battlewing rear is just about toast after 5,200 kms two up. We weighed ourselves and all our gear and we were pretty much right on the bike's limit. The souvenirs from Skagway and Whitehorse likely didn't help. :)

Thanks again for a great time. ::003::

Trevor.

I don't want to jinx any of those who are still on the ride home, but were there any mechanical failures encountered by any of the S10s on the trip? Bashing rocks and repairing sumps with JB weld don't count in my book, so leave those out. :D

Torque (James from Alabama) had some kind of a rear brake fluid leaky thingy failure ... fixed him up in Washington I think. He might be a while getting home yet but I'm sure he'll speak for himself. R ::008::

It was a tough trip but I made it home after the BBQ on July 5th at almost 9pm ::025:: ::025:: Rode almost 5 kilometers to get there O:)
Sorry O:) had to do that. Had a great time meeting al of you. Wish I could have gone on more rides.
Went on a destressing ride after work today. Up Mt Mcyntre over to Fish Lake back down to Heckel Hill wind turbines and then home
not quite 30km and all in city limits with over 4000ft of vertical
Sucks to be us ::021::

I was gonna mention those leaky seals, but figured they were due more to unprotected forks .... but there did seem to be a lot of them. I'm not aware of any problems with those that had some kind of protection. Most of my personal seals have been leaking for a long time now ....... R ::025:: ::025::

I developed a lot of travel in my rear brake last 1000 miles are so, will wash, change tires and check it over real good. I did loose a spoke nut in rear wheel south of Laird Hot Springs, caught the loose spoke laying flat in my wheel at a fuel stop walk around. Got another couple of nuts from dealer in Grande Praire. They come in a kit, so he crossref I believe a YZ250, no allen wrench in the end, but 7mm to tighten, which I think is the easiest to use on the road anyway. Tighten and ping.

P.S. The OEM spokes takes 6mm and hard to turn with a wrench, allen is much easier.
