CCT Question

Too early, noise is normal. Yes replace your CCT when you get a chance - like at the next valve service - but don't dig into the bike JUST to change the CCT (unless you're already over like 60,000 miles).

My first gen CCT failed at 78,000 miles, lucky to get away with no bent valves. I lifted my thumb from the starter the second I heard odd noises. I had the new CCT in my pannier was 10 miles away from the service centre where it was going to be replaced. ALMOST made it :p

It was replaced by a '14 CCT which was much quieter. At around 60,000 miles on that CCT, it started sounding a little different, so I changed it for a '17 version, as a precaution.

I have a Graves mcct and the bike is rattley up to about 3000 rpm. The mechanic who did the install and checked my valves really though the noise is more from the clutch and the sound resonates up the front through the cowling
