Caribou Luggage system.

Seems like its getting harder to find a decent pannier system that wont break the bank and isnt like an anchor over the rear wheel. I had Brooks panniers on my 2016 and would use them again but they dont offer a setup for ES Teneres. I have been thinking about getting the Caribou Luggage system, they use the Hepco-Becker racks and look to have a good attachment system and are pretty light weight. The only thing I dont really like about them is that they are a side load box instead of the top loader used by most. I had an older Airhead BMW that had factory boxes ( Sideload) and they actually worked out very nicely. Have any of us used this setup any Pros or Cons would be helpful...Thanks in Advance. Here is the 2016 I had these new ones will be going on a 2023.

Not Caribou and not an S10, but I had Pelican side boxes on my VStrom. Very nice setup. Add some straps to keep the lids from opening more than 90 degrees and you have it made. The top box is a Ridgid toolbox frome Home Depot, $39, I think.

Thank You yes I plan on straps for the side boxes, found out the hard way on the old BMW that they are needed.

If you plan on DIY, the Harbor Freight Apache Cases get good reviews for short $$$.
