Hi all!

I currently have Continental TKC70s mounted on my bike. It's time to change tires and I was considering the new Bridgestone Battlax AT41. My riding is 95% Highway/road twisties and 5% gravel/Fire Roads/Hard packed dirt.
What are your opinions?

Maybe the A-41? Good tire.

Generally a good tyre but I usually have to replace 2 fronts for one rear. Front is down to the wear limit indicators at about 5k miles. It does, however, maintain it's profile.

Same thing has happened on 2 friends S10s and my GSA

Was going to try Trail Attack 3s when I recently changed my tyres but there's a tyre shortage in the UK at the moment and I could only get A41s in the time available

How are you liking the A41? How is it performing on highway/cornering? Have you taken them off road?

Same here. I thought that maybe it was because I got a hole in it, combined with our heat. But you don't get our heat.

I liked the traction and handling just fine. Very close, maybe a little better than the original BattleWings, but more expensive. I'm a pavement princess, so I can't comment on dirt work.

. . . . Front tyre wear rate is my major concern . . . .
So, I'm assuming a softer compound? To what end? I could see that on super sport bikes so you can carry more speed into a corner without a washout. But on a big ass adventure bike . . . . o_O
I've never worn out fronts twice as fast as rears.

IIRC, the A41 is the OE tyre fitted? At least it was on my S10. I found it an excellent tyre, but then I only ride on tarmac. It had good grip, good wear, what’s not to like? Mine did 1 front tyre to 2 rear tyres with regard to wear, maybe that reflects on my riding style because my favourite road tyres are Michelin PR5 Trail and they also wear in the same way, 1 front to 2 rear tyres.

I had a front fitted in France last year. The block tread makes it noisier than more road oriented tyres and it follows grooves in the road surface. I wouldn’t have any more fitted. It’s coming off before the next tour!

The Tiger1200 has Tourance NEXT2 tires, which are really sport touring tires and they are great for the road.
Definitely not suitable for anything harder than easy gravel or dirt.

Interesting, some say it tracks road snakes and such less.

Hi, anyone have Bridgestone AT41 tires on the S10? Opinions?
Just finishing up a set on my '18. Tires didn't do anything spectacularly well. Tracked okay on street, a little extra noise from front that seemed to disappear as tires wore in. Barely okay on dirt roads, very poor in sand or anything even a little loose. Rear was spent at 5800 miles, front still has ~1000 miles left. Both maintained their shape with no unusual wear. Purchased the set on sale with a rebate so they were cheap enough to try. Not a do-over for me.
