Long time since I posted, just bought a set of the ax41 Bridgestone adventurecross. Got the front ,rear is on back order. Has any one mounted up a set yet? Thoughts? I'm a bit of a tire whore almost never the same set twice. The front is a good looking tire setting in the shop anyway.

Just have to shop around. MotoSport has them for $270 a set with free shipping.

Let us know how they hold up. Their claim is less deformation of the leading edge on the rear blocks when under braking. Looks like it will clear well in the mud.

256.00 for the set from rocky mtn. I'm on shinkos 804 805 now. Nothing wrong with them, not the best handling tire off road but bang for buck there hard to beat.

The A41s aren't cheap either. And, there is a huge difference between the A41 & AX41; don't know why they're using the same number.

A nice looking tire. I've been running the new Mitas E07 on the rear. Its not quite the same as the old dakar style so, I'll try something else this summer and will consider this tire. Mileage is secondary to me, performance first. The original e07 is still on the front.

Mileage is actually impossible to tell because everybody has such different riding styles. Also we have to realize that softer tire compound, better corner grip, stopping, and offroad traction always equates into shorter life.

Let's use the TK80 for example. I have heard guys that get over 6,000 miles on a set and others that wear them down to the bars at just over 2,000 miles.

For me I have always been happy with a tire that will last between oil changes. 3000-4000 miles is an outstanding life for a quality tire that performs well. On my old Ninja 650R I was running Michelin Pilots. They would last just over 10,000 miles but performed like crap after around 5,000. The cornering and braking deteriorated after that.

My Kenda Big Blocks are done at about 2,500 miles.

Was using Metzlers on the Beemer RT. Mounted them in February and got great mileage, great grip, and no flats....until the first cool day in October. Then they turned into bricks; they even had decent tread left on them. Apparently all the oils in the rubber that kept them soft, was cooked out of them in the summer. You probably don't have our air temps, but depending on how hard you ride, you may have done the same thing.

I have ran the e07. Really liked it off road but not so much on.
I felt the old e07 gave a pretty good balance of on/off road performance. I was actually impressed with the on road performance after going in the dirt and seeing how well it did. I guess it's tough to get the "best" of both worlds, always some compromise.

They didn't do terrible on road. The front tire noise was mainly what I didn't like. Just use to a different feeling tire I suppose

Can't agree more!
E07s last no more than 5-6k miles for me. Usually 5k miles. I change the front at the same time as rear.
10k miles would be not doable with my style and terrain.
That said, I've ran Michelin PR2,3 and 4 on my various Yammies (fz07, FZ09, FJ09) The 4s were amazing tires and had grip throughout the life of the tire.
