Pulled a trigger on a new R1250GS, what an awesome bike!
There is no question the BMW is an awesome ride. When I looked at it, my issue was the price and incremental utility to be had for the price and I just did not see the value (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marginal_utility) add in a few idiosyncrasies with supply chain issues and the Yeoman like Super Ten was an easy choice for me.

Enjoy your ride:)

Congrats!! I have a 2019 R1250GS and absolutely love it, by far so much better than mt 2014 S10, not even close!

I'm back to give another ownership experience update on my 2019 R1250GS. I have just over 15,000 miles on her and not a lick of trouble.

Will need new tires in about another 1000 miles. I have the bike 3 years now and still think its the best ADV bike out there.

Yes, more expensive initial cost when compared to a new S10 but such an amazing bike.

The service costs have not been too expensive (IMO), minor service $250 (every 6500 miles), major service (every 12,500 miles) $1200. I ride about 5000 miles a year on the GS but also have a 2017 Goldwing that I put around another 2000 miles on per year.

Have fun and ride safe!
