Ive read stuff on the net and have seen these photos..... These are probably NOT the final body panels and people are NOT seeing the final product... I'll wait to make judgement until I see real introduction......... I suspect there customers wont be looking at "this" front end sitting on the showroom.......

Ive seen the homologation numbers that could obviously be "skewed" because of certain governments and their "rules"...... The preliminary numbers are kind of weak, but again, I'll wait to see and hear the official info when the US bike is released.....

No biggie to me, Im not buying............... Just fun to talk about !

I’m also a member of the BMW club of Maine and BMW US attended the meeting and did a presentation of the 24 GS 1300 ..and yes “rider assist” opt 5AS is an available option where it can vibrate the seat when the forward facing radar notes an obstacle in its path..it is fully adjustable and can be turned off for the trail. The pricing and option packages listed below.

Saw the new 1300GS today. I will get this out of the way up front I have no, as in 0 interest, was just at the dealer to say hello to friends that work there. I was literally driving right by the place. Anyway while I'm not a fan in general it is a better lookin GS. No more trellis frame, really not much frame at all sort of a la Ducati. Seems everyone except KTM has gone to the cast aluminum frame or frame parts. Bike seems to sit a little lower and just like everyone else it has a funky shaped headlight arrangement. I'm sure the faithful will be duly impressed by it. Sounds like it may be a decent bike. Once you get past the price, the badge, and replacing drive shafts every 36,000 miles that is. Those 3 items may be the best thing for promoting the S10 in years.

The faithful will bitch about it and buy it anyway as they seem afflicted by some strange form of Stockholm Syndrome.

After hanging around with the local BMW club a bit, I would not characterize them as happy owners, but buying anything else seems unfathomable to many of the members I’ve met.
