My 2012 is black, but I do like the red 2015's.

That red does definitely looks awesome in person. Better than any photos have seen in the net.

Re: Black, Blue, Silver, White or Grey

Picked up a brand new S10 last month.

As I wanted a non ES I had the choise between "Yamaha Blue", "Race Blu" and "Matt Grey".
No dealer in the country had either one in stock so I had to decide from pictures.
It was not an easy decision as I liked all 3 colors.

Yamaha Blue is classical Yamaha (I had a 600 Ténéré in the same color 20 years ago), Race Blu is fresh and sporty (maybe a bit too fresh in the long run) - Matt grey is stylish (but maybe a bit boring)
In the end I decided on Matt Grey.

Now after a month with the bike I'm sure that I picked the right color - the more I look at it the more I like it. Almost anyone who see it for the first time comment on the color and really like it - depending on the light the hue changes from grey to almost black - cool feature.

Here is 2 pictures showing what I mean about the Matt Grey color:

I like the Matt Grey as well, but the only ones at the time where new and I could not justify the spend on a new bike, so I ended up with a used silver. ::26::

Re: Black, Blue, Silver, White or Grey

Well, my first choice would be Blue or White....love both

Black....meh

Red.....not my color

Yellow.....possibly but I'd lose the retro stripes

Grey....initially hated it but I can see the practicality of it. Still not a fave

I really want a GenII ES which, of course, comes in none of the colors I would really like. So I'm looking at a 2016 Black.
I don't really care about the color when I'm riding anyway. I'm sure I'll be having too much fun to notice.

Bought a 2014 Blue XT 1200 Z, loving it. i have covered most paint work that tends to pick up scuff marks with wrap. A full wrap job later when money caught up with me.

I am more than content with my Matte Grey 2014 ES. I love the color and the ability to hide a little dirt and scratches. Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The red that Tabasco/Jaxxon did for Snakebitten is below. Note the custom tubular skidplate.

I did not read the 20 preceeding pages on colors, this may be pre-flogged question, if so, please ignore...

It would appear that only 1 out of 50 replied RED. So I am wondering if this is a rare color for Yamaha
or perhaps the owners of red bikes don't follow the forum?

As for myself, I bought a red 2015 ES online, and still waiting for delivery. If you feel time is slipping by
too quickly, waiting for a dreamed of motorcycle to be delivered is a sure-fire remedy.

Yamaha has used blue, gray, and black for multiple years, plus silver outside of the US. Red is a new color. Nce one too

You also won't see too many yellow or white bikes.

Does anybody know what Yamaha call the blue on 2014 models onwards ?

There have been three blues, if you count the cobalt blue for the 2017 available next month which has been used on the FJR.
2014 was Team Yamaha Blue
