Well, today is my 39th birthday. I got a very special gift from my dad today.

We have always enjoyed playing pool together. It is our thing and has been since I was a young boy. We played a 12 hour game of straight pool when I was 13 and it is was the first time a ever beat him for real. The next day he took me and bought me my first real cue. I still have it today and will always keep it. I don't use it anymore but it is a valuable sentimental item. I have many cues now and use a couple Predator cues most of the time now.

My dad has a limited edition J. Pechauer custom cue that has been his baby for many years. I knew that one day he would pass it on to me when he was gone but he decided now was the time.
I don't know that I will use it all the time, but I know I will never get rid of it. It is a special thing that I can always share with my Dad.

Devin,

Happy Birthday! I think it's great that you share a special passion with your Dad. Hope you have a great day!

I did have a great time at the show and spoke to a lot of interested people about the Tenere. I knew more about it than the reps at the Yamaha booth. I felt like I should have been on commision!
I spread the word about the forum too! 8)

Great story. Happy Bday. And good on your dad for passing that along now while he is still able to enjoy seeing the look on your face when you gave it to you! Priceless.
