Take the Altrider ones. It has a special brace for the radiator, as it will otherwise “hang free”.
Had it placed two weeks ago, was recommended as the best option in relation to the radiator.
I know there are a thousand other options. But I wanted to play safe and excellent quality.

(No, I have no interest in the brand, just sharing experience…)

Plus 1 on the Altrider. They play nice with most skid plates as well. I'd say all skid plates, but I may just not recall hearing.

Altrider Crash Bars have my vote . Stupid mistake yesterday ,properly dropped the bike on the road on left hand side from stationary . No damage to any parts at all , minor scuffs to nearside bar and pannier frame , went for two hour ride . Today panels masked off , a quick rub with fine sandpaper and a light spray with satin black rattle can , sorted .

Altrider crashbars are excellent but the price is crazy high and a very long wait to get them.

Put TRexRacing on mine a few months ago, $449.95 for crashbars and skid plate, install was easy enough and they seem like they should work well, I believe they are made in Texas.
when I ordered they had a $50 off coupon code , if you do decide to order I would advise calling and asking about possibly getting $50 off, the lady I talked to was very helpful .

The GIVI bars served me well enough that I replaced them after a crash.

While touring in British Columbia in late September, the weather took a rapid change to sub-freezing temperature and snow. I was going to stop at the next sign of civilization (Banff, Alberta) to consider my options but didn't make it there. I went down on an ice covered bridge over the Bow River at ninety kilometers per hour. The bike and I both slid like hockey pucks across the entire bridge deck. I was not injured in any way and the GIVI bars protected the entire side of the bike that went down. The OEM right side pannier and top box did not survive the impact nor did the right mirror. After replacing the destroyed luggage with a 35 litre dry bag I was able to continue riding home to Nova Scotia.

I was impressed with the performance of the crash bars and quickly ordered another set once I was back home.

The little eye on the crashbars support the radiator, so it does not “flow free” and get damaged by shaking.
Great detail and works absolutely in prevention of lurking problems… (No interest, just sharing research)
