Baja Designs "Wide Cornering" Lights (SAE or Non-SAE) Opinions or Advice

I have a 2017 ST and want to put some extra lighting on the bike for very dark remote roads when I have to ride on them (don't choose to most of the time but sometimes get caught out and have to do so). I want to see deer, etc. on the sides of roads better. I like the idea of a flatter beam that does not bounce off everything and that does not blind cars as bad (although I could turn them off like high beams when needed).

I noticed that Baja Designs has these street legal wide cornering lights. Has anyone on here used these: https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Squadron-R-SAE-Pair-LED-Wide-Cornering.asp

I am also considering the non-SAE version: https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/squadron-r-sport-led-wide-cornering.asp

I know that most folks say the yellow is better for being seen and fog. I think I like to see white light better but I am considering the yellow versions as well.

Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Ive not personally run these, but I have installed them. I use Baja Designs on a lot of projects, they are a great crew over there.... Not often do people give praise for folks that do a good job... These guys do a great job and there lights are WORTH IT ! ! !

Other than the advice you get here on the forum, take a few minutes and call Baja. There people are great and know a TON of "light" info.... Give them a call. I have learned many things from those guys over the years ! !

Thanks. I will do that.

Make sure that you do not give that advice out for Rigid Industries lights. I emailed them and never got a response and then I called them and stayed on hold for 20 minutes and nobody ever answered. That was enough to lose my potential business.

The only "issue" Ive ever had... And it was NEVER an issue..... LOL. Is 4-6 weeks before the Baja 1000 (race) they are extremely busy getting all the race teams there lights they have ordered for the race.

They still spent all the time I needed on the phone, helped me in every way possible, Etc. No issues at all, but the whole office over there is VERY busy.....

*For the folks that might read this and have no idea what the heck im talking about. Baja Designs sells a ton of lights to these guys that race the Baja 1000 truck race. You can see the lights on the trucks. If you know nothing about it, you might want to look it up sometime if you're into motorsports. So a month before the race they are selling and shipping all these lights out to the race teams.
