I farkled my 2015 ST out pretty nicely, I think I'm going to be a bit more conservative this time. I've already installed my Givi ST603 tankbag so I can have my flat tire repair kit and air pump with me during break-in. I also have a 20L Kriega Drybag, which I really like. I think I'm going with the Kriega system for my luggage needs, it's a very flexible system and attaches really secure. Maybe pick up a 30L, then decide if I need any more. No hard luggage this time. I also need to install my WarmnSafe battery lead.
Planned farkles:
Gotta do something with the windscreen, looking at trying an X-creen spoiler blade this time. If anyone has any experience with one, feel free to check in. I never did get the windscreen on my 2015 settled to my satisfaction. I tried several screens including Madstad, which was the best one I tried.
Going to do about 2000 miles before I decide on the seat. If the seat on my 2015 is any indication, I'll need to do something with it. I'm willing to try re-doing the seat myself first. If that doesn't pan out, I hear there's a guy in Tennessee who does good work for a reasonable price; also there's Astech in Jonesboro IN that's close by. The 'seat mod' talked about in other threads never worked for me, it made the seat wobble a bit.
I may shell out for the Yammie heated grips, simply because I like that they integrate with the existing controls. If anyone knows of other heated grips that integrate, I'd love to know about them.
That's about it. Keeping it light and simple is my goal.

I found the stock screen with the addition of a X-creen and Madstad bracket to be the ultimate set up. It provides smooth quiet airflow in several different positions.

The plug and play Yamaha heated grips are the way to go, at least for me.

Been riding this bike all afternoon and tonight. Can't get enough! Loving it! This one must have been sprinkled with pixie dust, because the things I thought I was going to have to address mostly don't exist with this one.

Seat: Breaking in nicely! Yamaha must be using something different in the seat, because I haven't even thought about squirming around. If there is still a forward slope to it, I haven't noticed it.

Windshield: Tested different configurations, seat hi/low, windshield in all four positions, still getting buffeting. Decided to remove the 15L Givi tank bag - solved! I don't know how a tank bag sitting behind the windscreen affects air flow, but when I removed it, it sure was quieter in the cockpit and smooth around the helmet. Did all my testing in calm air, light traffic on a divided 4 lane. <Edit: tested again a few days later; put Givi tank bag on, took it off, difference was minimal, undecided about this, will do a few more test runs>. With my Ear Peace earplugs it's totally livable.

I will now have the spare coin to get the Yamaha heated grips. Even though I have WarmnSafe heated gloves, heated grips are nice for cool summer evenings when the winter gear is still in the closet.

I rode in the dark tonight to test the headlights, they are great! Low beams throw a nice wide swath. The new Kawasaki Versus 1000 SE LT has cornering lights, not needed on the S10.

Non ES suspension is great! A local county road I travel frequently is fairly rough. I can ride it faster and more comfortably on my S10 than I could on the FZ-09. I know, apples and oranges, but still.

:):):)

Dealership gave me this shirt. I like to joke that I paid thousands of dollars for this shirt and got a free motorcycle!
