I forgot to charge my SENA, and had to listen to her the other day. Yeah, she noisy, but in a cool mechanical way; purposeful.

Hi guys
I bought a new xtz1200 for about 5 months
Let's go to the point: since it had about 800 km in release and only in the rev range that goes from 2500 to about 1900 I feel a very annoying vibration, it seems to come from the engine. It is clearly a mechanical noise and not of creaking or any coupling.
The noise decreases a lot after about 15 minutes of use.
In addition, flush with the throttle with any gear at about 3500/4000 rpm you can hear a marked "fluttering" as a distribution.
The bike before these blessed 800 km did not make any noise, very quiet.

Given that the noise makes it more marked the first 15 minutes of use, I think that the clutch bell can be discarded, as I believe it would always do so.

Other details:
-if I accelerate from a standstill even when cold it makes no suspicious noise. It only happens on the go
-It started making this noise when I was on the highway at about 4000 rpm, I went out towards the highway, I started the accelerator again up to about 4500/5000 rpm and I felt as if something was stuck; from then on the problem arose, I also feel a general increase in engine vibrations.
- the noise is distinctly heard from the right side of the engine

Thanks to anyone who will help me
My bike has 75.000 km ( got it with 72.000 km ), sounds the same mostly during the first 10 minutes. A bit rattly and metallic.

It has new spark plugs, new cam-chain, valves were adjusted, injection synched ( all this 2.000 km ago ), fresh 20w-50 Yamalube oil, lithium battery. Compression was checked as was the oil for any metal contents. All this just to be sure i had a keeper and peace of mind, since mine has seem much more use than yours and had 3 previous owners.

Starts fine in the morning, no jerking on a steady throttle, accelerates fine ( better after those initial 10 minutes ). No warning lights or code errors.

So i say to myself, "why worry ?" :)

But in fact, just like you, the noise just bothers me ( still ), but the bike runs fine, nothing in the way it behaves, shows me it is lacking power or acting weird, so i'm trying to listen less and enjoy more. Better said than done, but getting there slowly.

Je pense que le bruit provient des cames du décompresseur automatique sur l arbre à cames d échappement…c était le cas sur ma moto…

Since He has a total of 5 posts and they are all in this thread that he started my guess is he probably probably decided to get rid of his noisy vibrating Tenere
Hopefully she went to a good home with someone that'll appreciate her idiosyncrasies. :)
