Not hard at all I did it. Good instructions come with it. Probably some videos. It fully adjustable and easy to remove. I’ve had mine for 45k miles. I have mine adjusted about an inch from my back in upright riding position. On the hi way I lean on back. They will give you a kick in the back on a hard hit.

Corbin can install one of their backrests for you. The Utopia should be able to be worked into the Corbin pan, it's shaped very much like the oem. I ran a Utopia on my Royal Star for a very long time.

I once had a Yamaha Midnight Venture that the previous owner had installed a very nice backrest, matched the bike perfectly. First time for me with the extra support but after using it for a couple of days I removed it. I found it much too restrictive and I almost felt trapped in the bike instead of on it. It also prevented me from stretching out my back by sitting on the pillion. When I'm doing 800+ km days in the saddle, I am constantly shifting around.
