Doing Mt Lemmon tomorrow.......:)
Do you do the Control Road from the north too? It was closed for maintenance at the top when I tried earlier this year.

With all the recent rains I imagine the Control Road could be a little rough. Sounds like OP plans to stick with mostly pavement riding though.

Just got back, I decided not to do Mt Lemmon today as it rained heavy last night. I did a quick 160 mile loop through southern AZ to run some fuel through her and make sure she was not barn sour. A little Blue Highway, some mountain twisties and some Super Slab. Ran great and performed flawlessly. I will replace the Nutcracker seat in the near future. Will do Mt Lemmon soon and I think the backside control road would be great. Picture of Southern AZ after the summer rains have greened things up,

A Post Script: I was cruising down 1-10 about 85 miles an hour when I came around a corner and traffic was stopped dead. I got to test the hard brake aspect of the S 10 and it was terrific. Less sightseeing more focus on the task at hand. Happy trails!
