Hi all. Having trouble removing the sender's from the stock headers. Are they usually trouble ?

not yet,

i got the plugs in the garage lol not done it yet my o2 sensors are there but not plugged in, so got to do it, tell me how you got yours out and then i,ll do mine like you i knew they would not come out easy

I got mine out easily enough when I removed the headers to paint the engine, I guess I must have been lucky.

anybody know if you can get the o2 sensors out while headers still in situ can,t see how you would get at the back one

From memory I had to drop the headers to get at the inner one, it was tricky as it was hanging on the wire.

I pulled a used pair from e-bay. I figured it's the easu way around.

Maybe let them heat up a bit, and try loosening them? A lot of time if you apply a torch to bolts, they loosen. Especially if there's Loctite on them.

Thanks am going to get the headers off anyway. See if i can encourage them out. Have some other stuff to do to it so so not in a rush.

Yoyo did you replace the gaskets on the headers ?

are there gaskets where the 2 headers bolt to the front engine, i thought there was just the 2 clamps that bolt them on

see it now it would make sence then to replace them saying that you not got apart yet mark may be ok

Lol just checked the fittings bag and it has 2 gaskets. Don't know how easy my ones will come out. Will clean them all up any way.

I didn't, I reused them.

The stock header collars you bolt to the cylinder head studs are steel, so don’t tighten the aluminium Arrow collars to the torque settings in the manual or they’ll just bend. God knows why they’re aluminium…
