Count me in!
Monday, high noon Jan 7 at Big Nose Kate's Saloon in Tombstone, AZ
There is no parking in front of the saloon unless you are driving a horse, so leave your iron steed in one of the lots and wait at the door, I'll be wearing a Yamaha cap backwards.

I finally have a firmer date. We'll leave Vegas on the 6th and ride to Oro Valley where we'll spend the night. Then meet for lunch on the 7th .... I hope that date works for you. We had to change our plans for one of our group (my wife) so that is why the earlier date.

We'll be returning to Oro Valley again that night then ride to the border and into Baja.
Hi Tombstone, are your plans still on track to dine at Kate's Saloon on Monday? Considering the bitter cold temps and snow in the high country.

Yes! Darn my hide, I should have let you know I'm still planning on it. I rode from SLC to Hurricane today (17 to 23 degrees most of the way) and will have a toasty ride at 55 degrees (I hope) tomorrow the rest of the way to Vegas.

We'll do the Vegas ride then head to Tuscon on the 6th. See you Monday!

a storm just blew through the state, and another one is on the way through this weekend, that will either bring more snow, or just rain...

Forecast for Tombstone shows 55F for Monday, and overnight temps are above freezing from now to then so not much chance of snow remaining. I'm planning to be there at noon, anyone else?

Made it to Tuscon tonight. Yesterday we saw rain in Death Valley and cold temps... Rain, and some thick fog today from Vegas to Oro Valley. But that's ok...back home they are shoveling snow! :)

I had a great day, cold and foggy ride but it was great to meet and ride with Ken (Tombstone) and Adrian. Also met Oldrider and his lady (sorry, forgot name already) doing the tourist thing in the tourist town.
I'm always up for a ride with any inmates in the area, post here and we'll meet.

It was great to meet you Gary!!! Kelly and I drove out from Kentucky and we rented the Silver Nickel Cabin for five nights so we could explore the area. Having the dog with us limited some of the places we could go in, but we did have a lot of fun in Tombstone. Maybe we'll cross paths again sometime.

Thanks for the Montana Mountain pics. In my adavancing age I ride a Husaberg FE450 in that area not my '12 Tenere'. It's right in my backyard, if I was in QV now. Hoping to get there sometime in Feb this year.

Glen (Holligl) and I met yesterday and rode the Montana mountain trail, near Gold Canyon. 44 miles of dirt roads climbing to 5000 feet overlooking Queen Valley.
Great challenging ride. Amazed at what these bikes will do. Just don't try to stop in the wrong place! Red route below.
