Hi All,

I have been researching the best bags to buy for my 2013 ST and it keeps coming back to Jesse for me. I really like the bags but wonder if I decide to sell the ST several years down the road, will I be able to use my bags on the next adventure tourer I might buy? Jesses are a big chunk of change and I am ready to invest in good bags but I am tired of funding the next owners farkels. I have read where some guys keep their Givi bags whenever they sell there bikes and simply buy new racks for the new one. Does anyone know if that is possible with Jesse Odyssey IIs made specifically for each bike? Has anyone ever kept their Odyeesy IIs and put them on a new bike? While I am at it, are there other luggage you know of that are universally transferable? Thanks in advance.

Jesse bags for the Tenere have a cut out for the left side exhaust. Other bikes may have twin exhaust, exhaust on the right, or no interference at all. Will they transfer over with just a mount change? Maybe.

I have Jesse bags on my S10 and love them! ::012:: I would check with Jessy to be sure but yes they can transfer to any bike that they make racks for. The bags are the same just different racks. The cutout side has no left or right. It is the same front to back so it can go on either side. But if you moved them to a bike that needed no cutout you may (or may not) have to do some fab on the rack. Try them, you will not regret it!

I love my Jesse's too!

But they are NOT the same front to back, the front is a little more 'aerodynamic' than the rear.

Having said that, I don't think the Jesse's on my r1200gs were different than those on my Super Ten? But I might be wrong.

Either way, they are worth it!!!

I stand corrected. Mine are exactly the same front to back but I have the new Safari model with the rounded edges. I got them because they are a little taller and narrower than the Odysseys. But if I had it to do over again I would get the Odysseys. The taller Safaris interfered with my wife's legs and I end up making brackets to move them down and back about 1 1/2" to solve the problem. So if you are going to be doing a lot of two up touring, go with the Odysseys.

The Safari wouldn't slide back far enough to clear the passenger? Interesting.

No, not even close. I even cut into the black mounting block groove some with a rat tail file to let it slid back more but the bags were still digging into the backs of her legs. Momma was not happy. So I fabricated and added additional spacers with longer bolts to move them out about an inch and 1/4" thick aluminum brackets to move them back and down.
Here is a picture of one of the top attachment points of my rig;

And this is the lower mount:

I am sure I lost some to the original strength but so far no issues. And Momma is happy! ::012::
