If you ride a Yamaha, keep it in the family: My Ride by Yamaha. Records acceleration, deceleration, lean angles, speed, route, outputs GPX, saves online (public or private).

I also use OsmAnd+, but it doesn't include all of the above, but does include altitude. It doesn't save online, so when my phone got reset, I lost recorded/saved routes, which were restored with My Ride.

I also learned you need to watch out for screen burnin with Amoled screens, using navigation apps. I now only leave the screen on if I am following a saved route. (Run recording in the background.)

I guess it depends on what data you want to keep track of. LINK

I can recommend Calimoto for navigation and tracking. Only official roads for navigation available, though, unlike OsmAnd, as far as I know.

I use ESR (eat sleep ride), bonus points, it has a "i've crashed" feature called Crashlight that will also call/text anyone your GPS coordinates in the event of a crash where you can't help yourself.

I use my Garmin GPS. Reset the tracks before starting and connect to BaseCamp to view the track or turn it into a future route.
