Anyone have any Happy Trails Tenere Skid Plate experience.
I see that the AltRider seems to be the preferred choice of Skd plate for the Tenere.
Cannot find any reviews on the Happy Trails Skid plate that looks pretty stout to me
for allot less dollars.
Thanks for any help you can be.

Hard to tell from the pictures on their site, but it looks like it bolts to the stock oil pan. That is the first thing I would be trying to avoid when buying a new skid plate.
If I hit something hard I don't want it transferring any forces to the stock oil pan.

Yes, it looks like it also uses rubber mounts to attach it to the oil pan.
I had a skid plate i bought off Ebay that was very similiar, and it sheared the rubber mounts on the first large rock I scraped over, on Ophir pass.
I would go with an ACD, Rumbux, or better yet, the beast sold by Jaxon at rideonadv.

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm going to go with the Altrider plate.
Seems like a safe choice for a moderate off roader like me here in the NorthEast region.
Thanks again.

Happy Trails stuff is ok but made with low grade materials at least my Pannier racks are.
