I was considering some molle bags but not sure about attachment. Also would like to see what others are doing, if anything. I have the Altrider bars.

I bought these in a surplus store; they're M40/M42 gas mask carriers.

I cut the straps off of them and reused them to make attachments for the crashbars. They then looked like this, on my old 2012 DL650:

After I traded the DL650, I re-engineered the same bags to fit the Altrider bars on the Super Tenere. The attachment points are pieces of two sided sew-on Velcro tape, sewn to the rear of the bag at the points where the bag touches the crash bars. There are four attachment points on the rear of each bag. The tape just wraps around the bars and attaches to itself; it's very secure. I also added some polypropylene webbing straps and quick release buckles to the flap, although there's already a big strip of government issue velcro on the flap that kept the bag closed when it held a gas mask. The straps help keep the bag closed if I really stuff it full. All the sewing was done with a needle and thread; no machines involved.

Initially I decided to paint the bags with Krylon Fusion black spray paint, which is made to adhere to plastics. They looked like this after being painted:

The paint does stick, but it's not foolproof and it tended to flake off at folds in the material. I ran them through a washer a couple times and brought them back to the original green. They look like this now:

They're government issue, so they wear like iron. One of them even kissed the gravel at Uwharrie National Forest, with no damage.

Thanks all for the input. I can’t find Lomo bags anywhere. Even their site is sold out. I am in the states which probably makes it even more difficult.

I could order the Givi set from Italy and they don’t look terrible and are waterproof. I don’t appear to have a military surplus near me but I’ll keep looking. I might have to go the Amazon route.

Second on Storm Industries bags. I have them for my Altrider crash bars (custom fit). He got them to me in time for a last minute trip. Here is an idea of sizing:

Right bag:

Contents of bag (it is not full, still a good amount of room inside):

A peek into the bag as packed with the above load:

Left bag:

Show showing clearance in between bag and radiator vent. Note the ride that I was on when I took these photos took me through temperatures up to 110º plus plenty of low speed forest road running and I had no unusual heating:

Contents of the left bag, everything here except the Givi case :) :

The left bag was packed a bit tighter but I could still slip a copule of additional small items in, if necessary:
