I've been hoping someone in the U.S. would make and sell a stabilizing brace for a Gen 1 that goes from the winglet hole to the accessory bar on the Madstad bracket. If someone is making them and I have missed it please post a link here.

I am pretty close to going to a metal works shop but I am concerned they may want too much money.

I've been hoping someone in the U.S. would make and sell a stabilizing brace for a Gen 1 that goes from the winglet hole to the accessory bar on the Madstad bracket. If someone is making them and I have missed it please post a link here.

If you know the length you need, and the there is somewhere on the madstad to bolt the top to..... I could perhaps help..... the Gen2 bars are 20mm wide by 3mm with a bit of a kink in them, and holes either end that match up with the mounting points. I'm not familiar with the madstad so don't know how they are mounted . :question:

Fitted mine today. Easy install and look good.

If I was to be a bit critical, the lower bolt on the left just sticks out enough to catch the brake hose on full lock. A 5mm shorter bolt would be clear of the hose.
Lucky I had some shorter ones and swapped it out.

Thanks for the feedback Andy.. Hadn't noticed reference the bolt lengths. The bolt length is fine if you are fitting with winglets ( just checked and mine is ok) ....all good and noted ::008::

By the way I had to shorten these 2 bolts as well even with the winglets.
They are definitively 5 mm too long

Thank you for the reply. There is a place to mount the stabilizer on the Madstad bracket (accessory bar). I'll take a closer look and PM you with some measurements.

Assuming shipping to USA is not a big deal? Sorry, did not study the entire thread and maybe that has been covered already.
