btw - These are a couple of reasons that I personally will not use a lithium main battery in one of these bikes. The stock AGM batteries are SO much better than the old days of lead-acid, and the few pounds saved in a 560 lb bike make no sense to me.
I definitely have to agree. I haven't had good luck with lithuims in adventure bikes, however, I do use a lithium main battery in a super sport bike that I have and I has been working quite well. It doesnt have to power very much in that bike though.

That shot looks like the AA battery display at Costco! With respect to the Li jump starter batteries, how good is their shelf life, in other words how long will it hold a full charge? My concern is buying one, tossing it into the trunk or pannier and forgetting about it only to find it too weak or dead when I need it. Can they be charged off of a 12V system to keep them ready?
From the video I saw it seems a 12v charger and wall charger are included in the package. I've a small pelican style case mounted as a top box, it's got 12v into it to keep my phone and iPad charges when travelling, now I can keep the booster on charge there.

Your thought on keeping the booster on charge at all times? Maybe using the booster as the charging point for my devices when rolling?

Revzilla says my booster should arrive today. ::012::

If you connected the jump start battery to a switched source it would only be charged with the engine is running. That would probably be OK?

Probably OK for the guy just going to the local Walmart, Micky D's, ......... Starbucks. O:)

Mr. Brown delivered XP-1 this afternoon, those folks at Revzilla are very good. It's been loaded and has put a full charge on my phone, tomorrow I'll test a start-up on the R11R.

I picked up a RedFuel SL161 from Walmart back in early May 2017. I never used it to jump start a car but, being maintenance conscious, every other month I would charge my tablet and phone to discharge, then recharge. Now that temps are 0F and below, I have had 2 instances to help someone out with a jump start and decided to test it. It gave an error on both vehicles and never turned them over. So my confidence level in this unit is low-like the price. I will be replacing it with an Anti-Gravity XP-3 as others have recommended.

Have a wing and S10 carry the antigravity on each bike - have used them on both bikes and several vehicles — wouldn’t leave Home without it !

Next time in cold weather, turn the headlights on for a minute or two to help warm up the jump pack before trying to start the vehicle. Lithium based batteries are infamous for poor performance in cold weather.

I've got one. I disconnected the battery in my gmc truck and started it about 10 times in a row. Of course I didn't read the instructions first. When I went to unhook it. It was hot as Hell. I've been keepin it under my rear seat. Fits like it was made for it. After reading on here they are kinda delicate. I'm gonna pad it with something. Mine is a antigravity. Works great so far. It's got me out of a bind several times. I can't stop killing my bike with the kickstand and forgetting to turn the damn key off. It will start my s10 effortlessly.A friend of mine bought two brand x's at Ace hardware on clearance and neither one worked.

Can I add a second question to the first? How many have actually used it to jump something? Amazon is full of reviews where they fail to perform. I bought one anyway. Charged it up according to the instructions and unhooked my car battery to see if it would start. There was a grunt, but didn't even turn over once. I still want one, though. Just want one that works.
I have used my Antigravity unit to jump start my friends Goldwing multiple times when on a trip a couple years ago. It worked very well. I have carried in the pannier for several years now without a problem. I also use it to charge my phone when camping.

I have anti-gravity XP-1, I love it. MY only beef is I have a 7.3L diesel and I misread to think this could jump it. It cant, well I have not tried. I have 3 diesels and need the XP-10........

I will eventually sell this one and buy the bigger one, I travel for work and the XP-1 goes in my backpack. Smaller but I need the bigger one...........

Gday All,,I carry the jumper where ever I go on all my bikes. .also with the accessory pump. .my 650 versys died last month and I had to jump it multiple times to get home and it still had 80% charge left. I also carry a mini (antigravuty brand ) battery on long remote trips..it's tiny ..both items don't take up much space..jn

Just ordered an XP-3 from Amazon then read that it’s not suitable for large V twins. I know we don’t have V twins but I would have thought a parallel twin would require a similar power? Hopefully someone will tell me I’m wrong about this. When I’m on shift my bike stays outside the station in the snow and frost. It came close to not starting once when I turned off and then tried to start it again so this is my belt and braces. Are the XP-3 affected by cold or should I keep it warm?

I've had a Tacklife jumper for years. Only have had to charge it twice. It claims to be capable of starting up to a 7L diesel. Don't plan on puting it to the test. It's started my Jeep, my wife's, and my kid's car several times each before it even dropped to half charge.

My mower has a completely dead battery. When I try to use the jumper, it tries for one crank, but then stops and light flash on the charger. This makes me think that there's a problem inside of the battery. But if hook up cables to the mower from my Jeep, it starts right up.

My only complaint on the jump boxes is that the clamps are so big. Yes, I understand that they need to be. But the actual box is so small and easy to store, the clamps are kinda a pain.

I wonder if your mower is a single cylinder and therefore needs more power on the compression stroke than a multi? Maybe that’s why some starter packs say they are not suitable for V twins?

Its all about displacement and compression ratios.
A mower motor are generally small displacement has very low compression ratio as it is built bomb proof for the bummy putting shit gas in it.
The amount of cylinders makes no difference, one or eight.
The difference may lie in performance related, V twins such in HD are big displacement motors with higher compression ratio's. This combination needs a lot of battery power to turn over. Have you ever listen to a HD start up, its like hardly able to turn over at times.
I'm sure there are lots of exceptions out there, a V twin like the V-strom 650 will not be an issue.
