Hello everyone, new guy here w/ a new-to-me 2016 non-ES. Just picked it up today after many weeks of shopping. I was actually going to go look at a couple of dealer bikes in the San Diego area when this one popped up last night. The mileage is 19k but I know that's not a lot so I went to see and bought it. The previous owner kept his bike extremely clean and well-maintained; I could eat off this bike. I feel a little guilty getting it dirty! I picked it up for 9200. It has:
-SW-Motech crash bars
-Caribou panniers (35l). Not my first choice, but I think I'll eventually be running soft-luggage anyway.
-he threw in a Garmin GPS
-tail bag
-oil and filters for the next couple of changes, although they are KN filters, so I will probably ditch those.
Otherwise all stock.
I recently sold my FJR and Triumph Thruxton so this will fill the gap since neither can do what I plan for this bike. I'm moving full-time to my house in Idaho next spring and plan to do the Idaho BDR (or as much as I can) next summer. I also intend for this to be my "quick trip to Yellowstone for fishing bike" once I'm up there full time since the park is only about 6-8 hours away. I see a lot of forest service roads in my future. Plus, this bike makes a good alternative to my WR450 when the miles are longer!
I appreciate all the help from all the helpful posts I've already read!
