The Big Blocks (Kenda or Shinko iirc) on the KLR would get through the snow just fine, and I've ridden dirt bikes in snow with knobbies. Snow isn't the problem, it is where the snow is packed to ice or that there is actual ice. We still are on a single track vehicle.

The main concern here is because there’s a law that oblige Cars and all vehicule who ride in the winter on the public road tonhave proper winter tires with a specific logo on it ( mountain and a snowflake) so the policemen can give you a nice fine if they pull you over and don’t have a proper winter tire.

I know big blocks are good in snow but not winter rated .

To me His review sounds to good to be true.
Most of the time we drive on dry roads in the winter with our cars so its possible to ride a bike . But expect to be pull over a few times by suspicious cop and they can still give you a fine because they can if THEY judge its dangerous for the driver and you’ll have to argue that with a judge..so right now there is a blurry zone in that law.
