Indeed, yes. I have the sense that perhaps you’ve produced many of these vids.

I’ve organized a three day group trip (about 15 riders) up to the NC Smokies and surrounding in mid-May. Base camp will be Fontana Village Resort near Fontana Dam, which I saw in the photos. It’ll be my first trip there. Although the Dragon is something for the "must see/do list," I understand the area offers a lot of great roads and awesome scenery…proven by your photoblast. Can’t wait! Thanks again for sharing...

Great pics! West Virginia is a great place to ride and camp. The scenery is stunning. It's on my list for a return visit. Is there a straight, flat road in that state??? My compass needle was swinging around like a cat's tail in a room full of rocking chairs. Ha ha!

Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year to ya! My wife and I have a place that's a 1/2 mile from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway at Balsam Gap. I also know tons of backroads up that way, so you know where I'll be riding my S10!!!! ;D

@trinc4me - your place at Balsam Gap; now that just ain't fair. When are you inviting all of us over for a ride?

@jakeboy - only one flat/straight in the mtns that I know of! and that's Route 84 between Frost, WV and Monterey, VA. FWIW, me and spkldoe saw a panther cross the road there once as I was letting the FJR stretch it legs a bit. Big cat hauled freight when that big blue bullet came out of now where bearing down on his posterior. Or maybe he thought it was a fleet of rocking chairs coming! ;D

@Twitch - you will never be able to ride them all around Fontana and the bad news is you will never get enough of the area...be forewarned.

@colorider - Here's hoping you do have many more rides out this way on your S10...not that you lack places to ride!

We frequently find ourselves in the Mountain State. The Mail Pouch Fly By is held in Marietta, Ohio and Fall Colors Ride is at Snowshoe, WV. It is a great place to wear down the sides of your tires!
