Just changed the plugs.It's very difficult to get the hose back on the bottom of the airbox.Has anyone tried removing it completely,fastening it to the airbox and then at the bottom after the box is installed?

No, but I did swap the OEM hose clamp for a worm type one. It's easier to get a socket with extension in there to tighten it than a pair of hose pliers or needle nose pliers.

Discard the clip. The hose is stiff and located in such a way that it can’t fall off. Use extra long, long nose pliers to put hose over drain hole. I discarded the clip about 30k miles ago, it’s never slipped off.

in my case i first installed the hose in the filter box and then the box on the throttle bodies. You can replace the clip with a worm-type clip…or have the right clip to open the clip…but first install that hose…if you remove it from the valve cover…it's worse, less maneuvering space

I have to admit, I gave up and just pushed the hose back on without a clip about 6 months ago when changing the plugs and air filter. I bought a pair of very long hose pliers a few weeks after and when I tried opening the clip to see how they gripped, I fired it at high speed across the garage. Managed to find it eventually, but it's still not on the bike.

I've always used 9 inch Linesman Pliers that I've had for 45 years.

Use the pliers to slide the clamp down below the nipple on the airbox, maybe an inch or a couple cm, then pull the hose off.
To put it back on, first make sure the clip is in the correct position, put the hose back on by hand, then slide the clamp back up with the pliers.
I've tried some 10 inch 90 degree needle nose and some hose clamp pliers to see if they worked any better but they didn't work for me.

You can always just put a vent filter on the valve cover and a cap on the air box.

stacking engineering. They put everything in top of each other without thinking maintenance or else. I lost my patience with that stupid hose... that could have been installed on the side without a problem I think. It was like that on my Triumph. I did my own fighting in a nylon tube, took the nut from a cable gland and made 2 silicon washer. It is now a snap to install. While there, I also split in two the huge cable housing that is in the way of the valve cover. Now it lay flat next to the frame.
Good job. As long as the nut is not unscrewed and vacuumed
...if you tried to put the hose on "after" the air box was installed on the TBs...it's a patience breaker...but if you put the hose on first, and then install the air box in the TB, it is much easier

That is a very good point, i don't think so because of the silicone washer but next time I get the air filter I'll do some kind of safety
When I was born, I check in the bag that preceded me and I assure you there was nothing called patience in it! Attach or not to the TB, from left or right side, always hard time and got .....
