No gear shift clearance issues with the large toe box?Yup. Wide feet here too and the toebox of the Toucans is nice and roomy.

Not familiar with this particular Gaerne until you brought them to my attention.Gaerne G-Midland boots here. Great protection, no squeak and still waterproof after lots of miles and several years now.
I got mine from Atomic Moto in Bend, Oregon back in 2011. Mine are the Aquatech not Goretex, but have never leaked in over 100k miles. https://www.atomic-moto.com/ Looks like they still sell Gaerne boots along with others. They used to direct import boots from Italy and knew people in the industry there. You might ping them if you're interested in getting a pair. One of the things that appealed to me about the G-Midland at the time was that you could re-sole them if needed. So many boots are now sold with molded on soles that can't easily be re-soled and I tend to wear out the sole before the rest of the boot. That said, 130k plus miles, a lot of hiking/walking around in these and they are still going strong. I used to do long distance endurance rallies which are sort of a scavenger hunt by motorcycle. There is a lot of off the bike time to get bonuses, which are not uncommon to be a mile or more hike off pavement for a big point bonus. The aggressive tread and good support, plus comfortable walking made these boots a real win for me. Other than a bit of suede trim stitching coming loose, they are still in great shape. My soles are just getting down to where I may start looking for someone to re-sole them this year. Might last the season depending on how much riding I get in.Not familiar with this particular Gaerne until you brought them to my attention.
Look real nice and I am interested but apparently currently not available in the US.
Where did you pick up yours?

I generally wear a 12 to 12.5 boot, these are 47 (12 US) and fit well. 46 was too tight for me in most euro brands.

Called both Atomic Moto (spoke with the owner Brian who is a good guy) and Gaerne US and the G-Midland is no longer available in the States due to lack of sales.Gaerne G-Midland boots here. Great protection, no squeak and still waterproof after lots of miles and several years now.
Well that sucks. Guess I will be re-soling mine when the time comes.Called both Atomic Moto (spoke with the owner Brian who is a good guy) and Gaerne US and the G-Midland is no longer available in the States due to lack of sales.
Appreciate the heads up but unfortunately Motostorm does not carry the G-Midland in my size (US12/Euro47).I have the Gaerne Midland Gore Tex purchased in Italy for $200 with $20 shipping to the US: https://www.motostorm.it/en/clothing/boots/gaerne-midland-gore-tex.html
Outstanding 4-season boots.
Odd. That’s where I got mine in 2016. Maybe email to see if they’ll order for you?Appreciate the heads up but unfortunately Motostorm does not carry the G-Midland in my size (US12/Euro47).
