Ok, this thing is out of control, ok so i am out of control. I think i am starting to have conversation with myself, i post something, then reply to it!!! Na, it hasn't been that bad yet!!!!

I love hearing all of the stuff about this bike for sure!!!! I have posted 3 times as many things here than I have on 3 years of ADV rider!!!!

Is there a doctor in the house?

You know I came to this forum undecided on what type of adventure bike to purchase. I now have a photo of the Tenere as my desktop background on all my computers. Wishing I could have it now. Not in Canada for 7-8 months. Wonder how difficult to bring back across the border to have a few months earlier, was that my outside voice now talking.

you guys in Canada can get the bikes easier from here then we can from there. It is almost impossible to get one brought down here.

Ha ha! It's on my desktop, too Bruisen! The resolution isn't the bet, though. Anyone know where to download a high res, right or left side pic??

HoebSTer,
I saw this quote from you today:
"Fred I think you are right!!! I wonder where the first bikes will be shipped to. I am thinking Seattle is closer to Japan. Hmm!!!",
and I have uncovered some 'breaking news' for you.

Word is that all bikes will be shipped to the Port of New Orleans next May, and distributed first to the state of Louisiana, and then to all other states in alphabetical order.

Dammit, I hate to see that you are in Washington. Suggest you head over to Olympia & lobby to get the name changed to Awashington. :) :) :) :)

realistically, i think the bikes would come to the port in Los Angeles or Long Beach. WHo knows!!! I am just babbling, but makes sense since Yamaha and Honda are in LA for N american headquarters.

I choose to believe HoebSTer here as I want that to be the case. They will also be allowing transit time from Long beach and potential delays meaning to meet the May deadline, they will bring them into Long Beach in April and allow anybody with 100 mile radius to come in personally and pick up their new S10... yes that is what I want to believe. ;D

You guys are all messed up. They're coming into the Port of Tampa (where mine will be waiting), and then will be shipped overland to the West coast via a 1953 Mack gasser that's missing three of its gears. Sorry to be the one to give you the bad news.

On a positive note, you guys can fly in here, we'll set them up at my place and I'll ride with you on the way back west. :) I'm thinking a scenic route that would take us two weeks to complete would be about right. ;)

Ok, I just foundout that those that will get theirs first should have received a letter from Yamaha today. Got my letter today, glad I ordered on Sept 1. ;)

I got my letter from Yamaha by Western Union, last week. They put double gold stars on it and the guy that rode up on the bicycle bowed and gave me a snappy salute when he handed it over. I'm starting to believe in Santa all over again. Ya hoo!

so going to bed last night and not getting one last look here online, the wife says to me "what is it that makes this forum so compelling to visit it all of the time? It is almost like an addiction." I start to reply, there are tons of things to learn about this bike, new products people are using, pictures to look at, what looks good on the bike, what accessories to buy!!!
Boy if she only knew how much we all drool here!!! I wouldn't be allowed to come out and play here anymore on this computer.
