I wonder what is different with the Gen-2 bikes?
On the website it says it fits 2010-2013 model years.

When I ordered mine last September they had two to fit gen 1 or gen 2. If you look now it does say it fits the ES model. For me it is a must have protection. I would have smashed my exhaust multiple times riding the White Rim trail in Moab. Karina was excellent to deal with on the phone.

Different brand..but ..a while back I was looking at skidplates. I had a 13 bought used with lo miles. The prev owner told me he had changed the catalytic converter to the 14 version along with a Yosh muffler.
Moose skidplates for the 14up bikes had an xtra bend at the rear to clear a larger cat. The Moose for a 12-13 wouldnt clear without that xtra bend

I tried yesterday and the ACD website appears to be unresponsive.
I first tried to create an account, but would not let me due to the "Re-Captcha" button being shut down (the one that makes you confirm you are not a robot) Would not let me continue.
Just for kicks I tried to put a skid-plate in a shopping cart, and it kept telling me the amount requested (qty-1) exceeds available inventory, and would not let me continue........... I took this as a sign that I didn't really want the ACD one.
I suppose the real deal-breaker for me is not being able to change the oil and filter without removing the skid-plate.
I found another company that was offering a Thanksgiving weekend sale, and ordered that one.
Could not seem to find any reviews on it anywhere though................
It seemed to check all the boxes for me. (built with 4mm tig-welded aluminum, black powder-coated, mounts to the frame-not the engine, able to change the oil and filter without removing the skid plate, protects the front of the engine and exhaust pipes) It was $251 with the sale.
I hope I didn't make the wrong choice.

Stop with the teasing :p, which brand did you buy and more importantly is it a frame mounted plate?
