ABS not working

I have a 2012 and today I was going down a very steep off road grade loose sand and rocks , it was very hard to curtail forward motion . I struggled to the bottom which was a 120 degree turn over a creek on a small temporary bridge speed and momentum were not going to be my friend's here !!! After this challenging situation I lost my ABS . Hours later and now on pavement I tried cycling the ABS ... no go front or rear . Key was turned of and on several times . I have done a quick preliminary search / trace of lines and sensors all seems to be normal .
Any suggestions? Or threads to point out . Thanks

Is the ABS warning light talking to you? Any codes showing? Fuses OK?

I suspect the system will have been confused by wheel speed disparity, but I would have expected it to correct itself TBH. You could try disconnecting the battery, say overnight, then re-connecting next day & see if it sorts itself out. Otherwise, a dealer/GS911 diagnostic job.

Sorry, a GS911 is a code scanner & analytical tool but now I think about it, it's BMW specific & hence expensive. There is a procedure for obtaining codes from the ECUs (several recent posts, so just search), but it's probably easier to use a scanner like this....... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-FI-OBD2-fault-code-scanner-diagnostic-tool-MT10-MT09-XSR900-R1-R6-MT07/283134514697?hash=item41ec21d609:g:emEAAOSw6VNbIYI~ Always check compatibility if you decide on this route.

If you want to avoid DIY, get your dealer to run a check on the ABS system, if the fuse check & hard reset hasn't solved the issue.

What indication do you have that you've lost your ABS?

When I go to inact the ABS ( intentionally lock up the rear wheel ) I actually skid there is no ABS . When applying the front brake I get the same response no ABS the front end will lock up . I have done both these tests on my bike for years to cycle the fluid in the ABS unit . After a particularly challenging ride requiring the traction control as well the ABS ( wanted or not ) I noticed the ABS had just stopped working . I have not had the time to check the fuses as another inmate pointed out . I'm hoping this may be the issue as the ABS was working overly hard. At first I cycled the key hoping this would reset the ABS but this was not the case .

If you have anything to add or pass along I would appreciate the comments , I have tried to search the topic but didn't find all that much infor other than inmate replacing whole ABS units I don't believe this is my issue . I need to check the fuses and either solve the issue or move forward
