ABS MODULE (ABS PUMP)

Sorry if my English is not so good. My native language is not english. My motorcycle is a tenere 1200 2019

My brake light came on and NEVER went out.

After several tests and using the scanner, we discovered the error (code 33).

I changed the starter relay (some people said that could be it) and it had NO effect.

So far, the only solution they gave me was to change the ABS PUMP MODULE part (entirely).

Can someone give me another try or really I can change the ABS PUMP MODULE?

Which “brake light” do you mean? The rear brake light or the ABS warning light on the instrument panel?

If brake light stays on you could just have a faulty switch at the handlebar or the foot brake pedal may not be coming up all the way.
I think that's not it. Reassembled the front and rear brake lever part.

The code diagnosed in the scanner was 33.

Whilst I don't have access to the manual for a 2019, I think code 33 relates to a failed ignition coil, so nothing related to the ABS light.

Can you tell us the bike's mileage, service history & detail what work has been undertaken on the bike recently. Problems so often emerge after service work, due to trapped wires, damaged ABS sensors & electrical connections getting forgotten. A tyre or brake pad change maybe?

Also, when you get a moment, we like to welcome new members to the forum once they introduce themselves & tell us a little about their biking background.

If you don't have a yamaha scanner, you can hardly erase an abs error. You will read the error in the motorcycle ecu, you can even erase it, but you have to enter the ecu of the abs to erase it definitively….otherwise, the abs light will turn on again
If you do not erase the error in the abs ecu, the light will not turn off….
they are two different ecu
the connector under the seat accesses the abs ecu, but the connector is not the same as the ecu ... and probably with a generic scanner, you cannot read the abs ecu
In what situation did the light come on? ... is it an S or an ES?

Okay, ABS light is on. (not brake light). Other than the ABS light on, are there any other faults with the bike? Do you have brake pressure front and rear? Does the ABS actually function when you ride the bike and try lock each wheel?

do you have a service manual? there is a procedure on "exercising the pump". If you need some help understanding that phrase I will elaborate. I think there is a thread here for doing it as well
