This is a basic question, but I would appreciate any information out there. I have a 2011 Tenere and would like to know whether ABS units from later models are compatible as the part number changes from 2012 onwards. I find myself needing to replace the unit, but I'm having difficulty getting the specific part.
By way of background, if it is of interest, I had the ABS warning light come on quite a while back, sometimes accompanied by the TCS and engine management light and no speedo. It would normally clear on restart and sometimes would not fault again for days. It showed up 7 fault codes, some of which were clearly spurious, however having now checked through the wiring, replaced front and rear sensors, the starter relay and battery, I am left with code 56, which is probably the 'death code' as far as the ABS unit is concerned. The manual indicates that this is a control unit fault, so a replacement is indicated. I am about to take the plunge and buy a new one, so any thoughts are welcome (I'm staggered by how expensive it is relatively speaking).
