ABS and Suspension lights.

So I was out for a two to three hour ride when the ABS light suddenly lit up shortly followed by the suspension light. I jammed on the brakes a few times and everything seemed to be okay but the suspension settings were missing from the display. I pulled to a stop and I noticed that the motor was unwilling to idle and stopped of its own accord. I switched the bike off and waited for a while and then switched it on again, no error codes or suspension light and the ABS light was on as it should be, I could adjust both the front and rear suspension from the menus and the ABS light switched off correctly once I was rolling again. About five minutes later the lights came on again and the engine wouldn’t idle again so I rode home.
I’ve just recently swapped out the battery for a lithium which was classified as the replacement for the YTZ12S/YTZ14S and this was the first ride with this battery, the battery had a high rate of cranking power every time I started the bike.
Anybody got any ideas before I hand it over to the dealer and their fangled gadgetry, witchcraft and wallet bashing techniques?

The last S10 that appeared on here with a short list of mystery ailments, was found to have been pressure washed injudiciously IIRC

However, it is difficult to comment without knowing the year/mileage & what other service work has been undertaken recently.

pre 2017 bikes have a diagnostic display available through the dash, which can help narrow down the search.

Double check that your battery connections are clean and tight. I’ve been running a Scorpion lithium battery in my ‘15 ES with no issues.

:D:D:DI think I might have found the culprit, I thought I’d best test the battery to make sure I hadn’t got a dud and low and behold the screw on the negative terminal had unscrewed itself, nigh on fifty years of biking and…………..:D:D:D
